Through the years Växjö has hosted many events and meeting; international conferences, national Eurovision Song Contest competitions, Swedish Championships in ice-hockey, floorball, handball, athletics, football and much more. In 2013 Växjö was one of the proud host-cities of UEFA Women’s Euro in football and in 2017 we hosted the IFF Men’s U19 World Floorball Championships. In 2023 Växjö/Åby hosted Men’s and Women’s Bandy World Championship.
