During May 10-12th 2022, the Swedish championship in work skills for young people, Yrkes–SM, will take place. The championship is the largest competition in Sweden within this genre. The event focuses on increasing interest and recruitment towards vocational education to high schools around the county. During these three intense days, skilled young people will compete within some 60 professions. The event plays an important part as to attract the next generation skilled workers in region Kronoberg as well as in the rest of Sweden.
The visiting pupils and public can enjoy vocational skills up close and get answers to all kinds of education related questions. Visitors are also welcome to try out some of the most exciting professions and skills, such as climb on high levels, paint, provide first aid, test robots, drive simulators and much more. For those attending the event, there will be opportunities to talk to student counsellors, experts from the different trades and young professional workers about the different kinds of education and industries.
