A worldclass Arena City
Our modern arena city with stadiums for floorball, ice hockey, football and athletics are all world class. Växjö has teams in the highest series within ice hockey and floorball. We have been appointed “The best sports municipality” (twice within five years!) and in the arena city there are always a game to watch.
ICE HOCKEY AND FLOORBALL IN HIGH CLASS ARENAS
Växjö Lakers won the Swedish Hockey League in 2015 and has played in the highest Swedish division since 2011. At their home arena, Vida Arena, you can let the hockey match become an evening’s entertainment with dinner and a really festive atmosphere. Vida Arena holds 5 700 spectators. Växjö Vipers is the floorball team of Växjö and plays in the highest division in Sweden, SSL. Fortnox Arena is their home arena and is one of the most modern floorball arenas in Sweden. It holds 1 600 spectators. Last seasons Vipers made it all the way to the final game and achieved an honorable silver medal. During the summer and autumn you can watch football games at Myresjöhus Arena, which is the home arena for Östers IF and Växjö DFF.
Östers IF is the men´s team of Växjö and plays in the second highest division, Superettan.
